Mellisea Rattan-Karim is a self-taught visual artist who works primarily in acrylic. Inspired early on by classical European styles, her practice has evolved into a deep appreciation for naturalism, capturing quiet, intimate moments of local wildlife and scenery with warmth and sensitivity.
Trinidad-based artist Ifé Alexander has been developing her practice since the age of seventeen, working across graphite, watercolour, and gouache. Grounded in careful observation and consistent study, her work centres on portraiture and gesture. This collection reflects an exploration of texture and contrast, balanced by the delicacy of water-based media. Inspired by everyday life in Trinidad, Ifé brings beauty to both the new and the familiar, using expressive line and a subtle nod to the traditions of ink wash and watercolour.
