Lisa O’Connor was born on May 27th 1965, Kingston, Jamaica. She moved to Trinidad with her family in 1977 where she attended St. Joseph’s Convent Port of Spain from 1977 to 1981. After finishing high school, she went on to study at the Art Institute of Boston (USA), 1983 to 1986. She graduated with a diploma in Fine Arts and with the highest honours in the graduating class, given annually to the most outstanding graduate of that department. From 1986 to 1988 she attended the Massachusetts College of Art and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree and with honours receiving the Marguerite Guilfoyle Fund Award.
