Karina Maharaj is a Trinidadian-born, New York-raised artist known for her rich use of colour and meticulous realism. Primarily an oil painter, Karina captures the essence of the Caribbean in vibrant landscapes and still life paintings, exploring the play of light from sunset-bathed mountains to the gleam of Trinidad’s famed scotch bonnet hot peppers.
